PBS modification

Modified Polybutylene Succinate (PBS)

Characteristics of modified‑PBS: PBS possesses decent heat resistance, yet suffers from relatively inferior mechanical properties, low melt strength and high material cost. Therefore, its modification mainly focuses on blending with starch, plant fibers or other biodegradable materials such as PLA and PBAT, so as to enhance mechanical strength, adjust degradation rate and cut down costs. Chain‑extension reaction for molecular‑weight increase is also a key measure for performance optimization.

Main Applications

Modified‑PBS has wide application coverage. It can be processed into degradable packaging articles including food bags, bottles and disposable tableware, agricultural mulch films and slow‑release fertilizer carriers. It is also adopted in biomedical fields for artificial cartilage, surgical sutures and tissue‑engineering scaffolds.

Properties: degradation‑modified Physical properties: customizable per customer requirements (partial performances can match imported brands).

MOQ: 1 ton upon successful sample testing.

Participation Process

Modification manufacturers please contact supplier service for supply registration.

Buyers: Click group‑purchase or contact procurement service to submit your procurement requirements. The platform screens qualified modified‑material suppliers from the database or launches bidding according to your specifications. After sample validation, buyers confirm the preferred modified material and supplier and sign the sales‑purchase contract.
